Our story began in 1957 whenbrothers-in-law Clyde Springer and James L. Watson acquired Armstrong using asmall loan from a friend. At that time, the company had two employees and twotrucks. As a result of a relentless pursuit of quality and a lot of hard work,Armstrong Relocation expanded from that first location in Memphis to a total of22 locations in 13 states with more to come. Today, Armstrong employs over 1,025full-time employees and owner-operators, dispatches nearly 500 trucks, and operatesover 1,200,000 square feet of warehouse space. Armstrong is one of the largesthauling and booking agents for United Van Lines.
